A Software Engineering Lead (SEL) is a senior IT professional with a vast technical experience. Their primary responsibilities include technical analysis, discovery, design, prototyping, documentation, and leading implementation of solutions, ranging from simple to highly complex, to meet our business needs. They are responsible for providing hands-on support when necessary to assist the team in resolving issues and completing urgent projects. They provide project/product teams with in-depth technical knowledge and leadership to resolve issues, and they have experience with front-end and back-end technologies, full-stack web and/or mobile applications, and cloud infrastructure.

A Software Engineering Lead is directly responsible for helping the business achieve their business goals through their technical leadership skills.

The location?for the role is Corteva's office in Warsaw, Poland, but we are open for discussion for remote arrangement.

Primary Responsibilities - How will you help us Grow?

Collaborator:

* Collaborating with Architects, IT and Business Product Owners/Managers, Agile Delivery Leaders, UX team members, and Testers to ensure that the right software is built and that it is built as intended.

* Working in a team with a DevOps mindset.

* Inspiring colleagues to achieve at a high level, push teams to deliver great results, and maintain an optimistic attitude.

* Modeling and coaching a passion for learning and developing skills, trying new technologies, and embracing the full-stack engineer mindset.

* Serve as the role model and technical reference for the other Software Engineers, IT and Business Product Owners/Managers.

Driver Focused on IT Solutions:

* Making themselves available to engage with Software Engineers for reviewing designs or code, recommending/coaching on industry best practices and Corteva standards, etc.

* Being curious and ask questions of their team(s) to drive out the best possible outcome.

* Leading/directing the balance between delivering capabilities and ensuring sound technical solutions through white-boarding, refactoring, and continuously addressing technical debt.

Producer Orchestrating Capabilities of Value:

* Assisting technical project/product team(s) with any part of the tech stack where needed.

* Modeling and coaching the desire to improve all aspects of the product and processes.

* Delivering outstanding results by meeting business needs in a scalable, reliable, and secure manner.

* Contributing to the technical roadmap to establish and support the product lifecycle.

What are a Software Engineering Lead's responsibilities?

* Assist software engineers from project/product team(s) progress well toward solid performance and growth within their profession.

* Collaborate well with other Engineering Leads, IT Product Leads, Senior Product Leaders, QAs, Agile Delivery Leads, and Product Owners.

* Create clear and maintainable designs, documentation, prototypes, and other technical deliverables.

* Lead-level cloud engineering and prototyping.

* Engineer for data- and business-driven solutions.

* Ensure secure development techniques and compliance with standards.

* Regularly improve technical aspects of the product by identifying issues and problems in the architecture, performance, product, code, or process.

* Support the team in the ideate/concept phase to shape the solution and cost estimation.

* Secure Corteva QA principles are applied to guarantee proper test strategy and plan.

* Responsible for technical sprint acceptance.

* Responsible for DAST & SAST Scans and mitigation of risks.

#LI-OB1 QualificationsWhat you must bring to the table

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.

* Minimum 5-8 years of experience designing and deploying tools and capabilities to a diverse set of personas or users.

* Ability to understand and manage build processes in a CI/CD-based team.

* Possess source-code management skills using Azure Developer and DevOps tools.

* Experience with Azure API Management, Azure Data Factories, Azure SQL Database, Azure Web Services, Java, React JS)

* Ability to understand and apply various software development frameworks and utilities to solve business problems.

* Possess a familiarity with infrastructure as code, automation, monitoring, and the DevOps mindset.

* Leadership of test-driven development techniques.

Preferred or Nice to Have

* 8+ total years of experience in IT.

* Experience with front-end web frameworks, such as Angular, React/Vue.

* Working knowledge of CI, CD, and infrastructure as code DevOps practices.

* Experience in developing large scale funding and deployment plans.

* Experience with SAFe and Product Management at Scale strategies.

* Deeper Azure expertise: Azure Data Science Services, Azure Service Bus, Azure Monitoring

* Experience with data migrations and integrations with enterprise-level applications.

* Experience with and Python, .NET C#

* Leadership experience - technical team lead experience
