Corteva is seeking to hire a Software Engineer II.  The Software Engineer II owns the team's backend services and AWS infrastructure. We're looking for someone who loves setting up and building scalable, production-quality services. They should also be competent in standard software engineering practices regarding development lifecycles and code best practice.   

What You'll Do:

  • Build Python APIs that bring our cutting-edge data science to farmers around the world.
  • Create AWS infrastructure to support those APIs and the data science tools behind them.
  • Show a passion for learning and developing skills, trying new technologies, and be solution-centric thinking.
  • Bring your experience and knowledge to help mentor, lead, and grow others.

What Skills You Need:

  • 1-4 years of experience as a software developer, including at least 1 year of Python programming.
  • Proficient in object-oriented and functional programming paradigms.
  • Familiar with React and TypeScript.
  • Skilled in designing and building scalable databases.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Able to set up CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab CI.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and adaptable code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to take initiative and build meaningful relationships

Skills that are nice to have:  

  • Experience collaborating with distributed and multi-region teams.
  • Familiarity with agile frameworks such as Scrum.
  • Background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Experience developing applications in the AgTech domain.

The salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $113,000.00.

This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
