This position is part of the Farming Solutions & Digital Product Development organization within Corteva Agriscience, where we design and deliver customer-facing digital solutions for farmers and their agricultural advisors. As a member of the Seedlings team, you will join a full stack team responsible for the creation of variable rate seeding recommendations for our customers. 

The Software Engineer II contributes to the team's front-end experiences, backend services, and AWS infrastructure. We're looking for someone who loves setting up and building scalable, production-quality services and user experiences. They should also be competent in standard software engineering practices regarding development lifecycles and code best practice.

Responsibilities:

• Work with UX designers and other engineers to build user interfaces using React
• Build Python APSs that bring our cutting-edge data science to farmers around the world
• Create AWS infrastructure to support those APIs and the data science tools behind them
• Demonstrate a passion for learning and developing skills, trying new technologies, and be solution-centric thinking
• Bring your experience and knowledge to help mentor, lead, and grow others

Requirements:

What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

• 1-4 years of experience as a software developer including Python and TypeScript
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using gitlab-ci
• Creating code that is maintainable and adaptable
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills with a positive and solution oriented mindset

Preferences:

• Experience with React and commonly used libraries associated with React
• Experience with Python API libraries such as FastAPI, Flask, or Bottle
• Experience working with distributed and multi-region teams
• Experience with agile frameworks such as Scrum
• Experience developing AgTech applications.
