Corteva Agriscience has an opportunity available for a Senior Consolidation Accountant - Corporate Accounting.

The Senior Consolidation Accountant position oversees the final consolidated Corteva Income Statement and Balance Sheet. On a quarterly basis, this position prepares the EPS Footnote for the 10-Q as well as various FinPack schedules used by Senior Leadership.

This is a highly visible position and will interact with External Reporting Group, Corporate Tax Accounting, Accounting Policy, Treasury/Credit, Internal Audit and PwC on a routine basis.

Primary Responsibilities - How will you help us Grow!

  • Prepare the final consolidated Corteva Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
  • Prepare various quarterly reports used by Senior Leadership.
  • Operate monthly accounting close process and prepare accounting entries for corporate entities.
  • Prepare the Corteva to EID financial statement bridge and the corresponding EID standalone financials for presentation to Accounting Policy.
  • Prepare the necessary intercompany equity elimination entries and investigate closing issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide accounting and financial reporting guidance to support business, functional and corporate needs.
  • Prepare account reconciliations in compliance with the global account reconciliation policy to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Ensure internal controls are in place and operating effectively in accordance with company standards and government regulations.
  • Lead & drive continuous improvement in the consolidation process

Experience and Education - What you'll bring to the table!
Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • MBA or CPA a plus.

Experience

  • Position requires strong analytical skills, ability to multi-task and proficiency in the use of systems, including Analysis for Office BPC, SAP and Windows Office.
  • Candidate must be self-managed and self-motivated as well as effectively organize time and efforts to meet deadlines.
  • Flexible with work schedule, as nights/weekends are needed on certain month/quarter-end close days.
  • Communication skills.
  • Results oriented.
