In this individual contributor role, you will support the development, deployment, and execution of the North American Capital Procurement strategy, managing approximately $115M in annual spend. This role partners closely with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver cost optimization, supplier value creation, and operational efficiency across capital investments, leveraging data analytics, digital procurement platforms, and emerging AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the development and execution of regional and global procurement strategies for Capital in North America, ensuring optimal value and lowest total cost of ownership.

  • Lead sourcing activities including spend analysis, cost modeling, RFx development, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiations.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop project-specific procurement strategies aligned with business priorities, capital investment plans, and operational needs.

  • Identify, assess, qualify, and develop new suppliers to strengthen supply market competition and enable innovation and value creation.

  • Establish and monitor supplier and category performance metrics, leveraging data analytics to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

  • Support governance, compliance, and process simplification initiatives across procurement activities.

  • Leverage digital procurement tools, spend analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve sourcing insights and procurement productivity.

  • Collaborate with procurement colleagues across categories and regions to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and manage contract lifecycle requirements.

  • Support procurement transformation initiatives and additional projects as directed by management.

 Required Experience and Competencies:

  • BA/BS Degree with preferred focus on supply chain, operations, or engineering.

  • 5+ years of Sourcing, Procurement, or Category Management experience in a global organization. Previous experience in Capital or Hard Services commodities preferred.

  • Certifications in Procurement (SCMP/CPSM) or Lean / Six Sigma are a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP-Ariba, and Business Intelligence systems.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical, and time management skills.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments, influence stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and deliver results.

  • Self-starter, highly motivated, hands-on professional with strong attention to detail, capable of working under pressure with minimal supervision.

  • Experience in agricultural production environments is a strong plus, with understanding of operational constraints & seasonality.

  • Experience supporting multi-site construction or capital projects is a strong plus, including coordination across locations, timelines, and stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of automation processes and technologies is a strong plus, particularly in driving efficiency, standardization, and operational scalability.
