Corteva Agriscience is seeking a Seed Production Specialist to join our Hermiston, Oregon team! This position is designed to be a flex role that provides leadership and support for key site activities based on priority/need. Successful candidate will be comfortable transitioning to various roles as priority needs require. Examples of support coverage areas include spring warehouse management, corn, wheat and soybean plot maintenance; field data collection according to established protocols and timelines; detasseling, harvest, support seed treating/shipping and safety documentation.

What You'll Do:
- Manage spring warehouse activities including treating, seed splitting, palletizing for planting teams, checkout and receiving.
- Maintain, organize and summarize data associated with seed production including gathering data before, during and after planting.
- Ability to use technology to collect, evaluate and distribute data. Willingness to learn and become proficient in Research and GSO data management systems.
- Able and willing to work in Field Administration Support activities including mapping, allocations, field SOP support, equipment calibrations and data collection for experiments.
- Support seed processing and shipping activities. Individual will become proficient in systems utilized to manage these processes.
- Support field mapping, planting, integrated pest management, rouging, detasseling, and other general field activities. May be assigned to lead detasseling crews or cover seed production management activities when area leads are on leave.
- Effectively communicate with GSO team, coworkers, key customers and management.
- May participate on hiring committees, organize and supervise temporary workers, and supervise other staff members ensuring work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Participate on committees and teams related to but not limited to Safety, Field, Plant, Warehouse, and others.
- Lead location safety programs as assigned. Support SOP/QMS lead with maintaining required reviews and documentation.
- Support processing and warehouse activities including harvest, drying, conditioning, treating and shipping through fall and winter

What Skills You Need:
- High school diploma/GED required with 5 years of Agriculture experience OR Associate degree in Agronomy, Biology, Plant Breeding or a scientific-related field
- Ability to develop, support and follow protocols
- Basic math skills
- FLEXIBILITY to change roles often to support location needs.
- Intermediate computer skills including knowledge of multi-media tools, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- STRONG INTERPERONAL SKILLS. Ability to work well with diverse groups of people.
- Must have a current and active driver license and be willing to operate a vehicle
- Experience and high comfort level operating a forklift
- Willing and able to work in a variety of environments (plant, warehouse, or outdoor setting) when needed in various conditions (hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions)
- Willingness to adapt to different roles/responsibilities as business needs change
- Commitment to excellent safety and risk management practices
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule including shift work and overtime hours including weekend work required during seasonal peaks
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to make independent decisions
- Willing and able to lift up to 60lbs and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Class A CDL
- Working knowledge of production agriculture
- Bachelor's of Science in a agriculture discipline
- Ability to operate farm machinery
- Knowledge of field equipment and techniques (planting, cultivating, irrigation, cutting, wheel-pulling, scouting, etc)
- Supervisory experience
