We're looking for an Intern - Seed Production - Hoogekraal (Scandinaviedrift 35km outside Potchefstroom)

At Corteva Agriscience, you will help us grow what's next. You will be part of a team that is building the future of agriculture - leading breakthroughs in the innovation and application of science and technology. In this role, you will use your research/agricultural experience to serve as a team member in the Breeding team to conduct planning, planting, data collection and harvesting of Research phenotyping activities for Maize.
You Will Be Part of Growing Team
Research and Development
Your Challenge:
Responsible to support the breeding team in their activities that can range from seed preparation, planting, crop maintenance, pollinations, data collection and harvesting.
Work as part of a team that plans and execute experiments efficiently and accurately within seasonal deadlines.
Interact with all programs on station to learn from the different divisions for your professional growth and development.
Participate in safety specific activities to direct work environment to identify and communicate potential risks and benefits.
Give regular feedback to track development.

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need
Bachelor's degree in agriculture or Diploma in scientific related field or 1-2 years industry related experience required.
Background in Agronomy and/or Plant Breeding.
Ability to make timely decisions, assist to solve problems and build consensus.
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills are required for fostering teamwork, enhancing a good working environment, and effectively developing strong working relationships with a diverse group of people.
Ability to supervise.
Technical and mechanical skills are beneficial.
Proficiency in Office software such as spreadsheets, email, calendar and presentation software.
Always comply with safety regulations and country laws.
High workload with long hours and weekend work during seasonal peaks.
Ability to work outside in all kinds of weather.
Valid driver's license is required.
