Corteva Agriscience is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead seed logistics and phytosanitary compliance efforts within our Seed Product Development team in Chile.
As the Seed Movement & Phytosanitary Lead, you will oversee the compliant and efficient international movement of seed and research materials.
You will also play a key role partnering with the Corteva Regulatory Team in shaping science-based regulatory frameworks that facilitate streamlined seed movement. Acting as the primary phytosanitary liaison with Chile's Servicio Agrícola y Ganadero (SAG) and regional National Plant Protection Organizations (NPPOs), you will drive strategic initiatives that influence policy development and manage end-to-end logistics for research seed movement.

Your Challenge
Seed Movement Leadership & Policy Engagement
Collaborate with Corteva's Regulatory and Stewardship teams to ensure full compliance with seed movement regulations across all operations.
Lead phytosanitary engagement efforts with Chile's Servicio Agrícola y Ganadero (SAG) and other Latin American NPPOs, ensuring alignment with regional seed movement policies and phytosanitary standards.
Coordinate SAG inspections, manage regulatory reporting requirements, and actively participate in technical committees.
Represent Corteva in key industry associations (e.g., ANPROS, Chile-Bio, COSAVE, SAA) to help shape regional policy and standard frameworks affecting seed movement.
Support the design and execution of the System Approach framework to streamline seed logistics and reduce cycle times.
Monitors policy changes and industry trends that may impact site operations, while actively supporting policy development and advocacy efforts to ensure freedom to operate.
Coordinate the design and implementation of the phytosanitary inspection systems across R&D and GSO operations.
Collaborate to ensure a smooth and well-documented movement of seed between research sites and GSO.
Oversee and coordinate the operations of the Phytopathology Laboratory in Chile, ensuring efficiency, compliance with policies and standards, and alignment with organizational objectives
Global Research Shipping & Logistics
Develop and execute logistics strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Conduct audits and risk assessments to proactively address shipping challenges.
Provide training on shipping/receiving procedures and regulatory compliance.
Resolve shipping issues (delays, damages, lost shipments) while ensuring regulatory alignment.
Standardize shipping protocols and labeling across regional teams.
Communicate timelines and site-specific instructions to ensure timely delivery.
Collaborate with IT and business teams to enhance enterprise software (WWS, compliance, warehouse systems).
Align logistics strategies with evolving global regulations and industry best practices.
To Grow What Matters, You Will Need:
Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Logistics, Supply Chain, Biology, or related field (MSc preferred).
8+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, stewardship, or global logistics—preferably in seeds or ag-biotech.
Expertise in phytosanitary regulations, seed certification (ISTA/OECD), and biotech regulatory frameworks.
Proven leadership in industry associations and regional coordination.
Experience managing import/export permits and resolving non-tariff barriers across LATAM.
Fluent in Spanish and English; strong communication and advocacy skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Proficiency with enterprise shipping, compliance, and data visualization tools (e.g., WWS).
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~15-20%).
