We have an exciting opportunity for a Scheduling Coordinator to assist with our supply chain activity at our Johnston, IA Parent Seed site

This role will be on-site at the Corteva location.

What You'll Do:

  • Utilize systems such as SAP/R3 as a fundamental basis of performing the job.
  • Provide coordination of expedites with customer service, inter-company schedulers, and vendors using internal system.
  • Proactively plan/enable orders and services to be delivered on time while managing conflicting priorities.
  • Optimize inventory levels of raw materials, finished goods and packaging.
  • Supply information to customer service and inter-company schedulers regarding status of all order fulfillment activities.
  • Work closely with production, field, maintenance, quality, and inter-company schedulers to schedule and establish priorities of production process orders (PPOs).
  • Gather data and assist with other activities for continuous improvement projects.
  • Coordinate and work with various departments to ensure appropriate scheduling and prioritization of production while demonstrating a professional manner.
  • Forecast, develop, and maintain scheduling/planning metrics and utilize problem solving tools to determine root cause of inefficiencies caused by scheduling.
  • Various other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • You have your High School diploma or GED equivalent.

What Skills You Need:

  • You are willing and able to work in a variety of areas (plant, warehouse).
  • You are willing and able to stand and sit for extended periods.
  • You have good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • You have good teamwork skills.
  • You have experience and proven proficiency in computer systems and programs including (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and tend to pick up quickly on new software.
  • You are willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting.
  • You are willing and able to work overtime hours including weekends as required to support business goals.

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management or other relevant business degree.
  • Previous manufacturing/agriculture/customer service/shipping/logistics experience.
  • SAP experience.
