Corteva is seeking to hire a Research Data Specialist. This role combines software development expertise with systems analysis to create innovative solutions that support our agricultural research initiatives. We're looking for a seasoned developer who can build robust, scalable applications while understanding complex business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.

What You'll Do: 

  • Design and develop enterprise applications using .NET framework, including WinForms applications with DevExpress integration  

  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and OData services using .NET Core/Framework 

  • Create responsive web applications using Angular and implement Progressive Web Applications (PWA) 

  • Design and optimize complex database structures, write advanced queries, and manage indexes in Microsoft SQL Server 

  • Implement clean architecture patterns, SOLID principles, and dependency injection in all development projects 

  • Utilize Entity Framework Core as ORM for efficient data access and manipulation 

  • Develop business intelligence solutions using PowerBI and create custom applications with PowerApps 

  • Collaborate with research teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications 

  • Manage Azure cloud infrastructure and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps 

  • Participate in code reviews, pull requests, and maintain high-quality, sustainable code standards 

  • Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks to deliver MVPs and iterate based on user feedback 

  • Bring your experience and knowledge to help mentor, lead, and grow others 

What Skills You Need: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field 

  • Minimum 5 years of full-time experience in software development and systems analysis 

  • Expert-level proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, design patterns, and best practices 

  • Strong proficiency in .NET ecosystem (Framework and Core) with expertise in both WinForms and web development 

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including complex query optimization, data structures, and database design 

  • Proficient in Angular framework for building responsive, modern web applications 

  • Experience with Entity Framework Core and LINQ for data manipulation 

  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design and OData protocol implementation 

  • Demonstrated experience with clean architecture, SOLID principles, and dependency injection patterns 

  • Experience with authentication and authorization systems (e.g., MSAL, OAuth2.0) 

  • Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles, including information architecture and interactive design 

  • Proficient in cloud services and DevOps practices, with experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines

  • Strong Git version control skills and experience with collaborative development workflows 

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with ability to identify and deliver MVPs 

  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) - both written and verbal communication required 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to understand client needs and translate them into technical solutions 

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills 

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Experience with DevExpress components and licensing 

  • Knowledge of PowerApps and PowerBI development 

  • Experience with Progressive Web Applications (PWA) 

  • Background in agricultural technology or research systems 

  • Experience with other database systems beyond SQL Server 

  • Knowledge of statistics and data analysis 

  • Experience with Machine Learning concepts and frameworks 

  • Python programming skills for data science applications 

  • iOS development experience with Swift or Objective-C 

  • Experience with Docker containerization 

  • Knowledge of WebSocket for real-time communication 

  • Portfolio of personal or professional projects demonstrating technical capabilities 

  • Certifications in Microsoft technologies or Azure 

  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques 

  • Knowledge of agricultural research methodologies
