Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate. You will be working in state of the art green houses, utilizing custom software to ensure daily execution of automated tasks within a 72,000 Sq Ft automated facility. You will work dynamically with growers to execute experiments on a variety of crops. Working with a team, you'll ensure completion of various plant care tasks needed for plant production. 

Responsibilities - What You Will Do:

  • Be responsible for execution of automated activity plans, ensuring essential task are completed.
  • Monitor automated machines to ensure viewings and samplings arrive on time for clients.
  • Dynamically communicate task completion and any delays or updates to the schedule.
  • Communicate and submit work orders for mechanical issues.
  • Troubleshoots automation issues and correct errors within the system.
  • Document and track errors that occur and monitor trends within the automated system.
  • Execute on plant care tasks for various crops.
  • Works once every 6th weekend, with comp days.
  • Will be a part of the on-call rotation for automated system.
  • Will occasionally drive truck and trailer

What Skills You Need:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good computer skills, ability to learn new software.
  • Close attention to detail, and ability to follow standard operating and safety/ergonomics protocols.
  • Previous experience with greenhouse operations and/or plant care preferred.
  • High degree of self-motivation, positive attitude and work well independently.
  • Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time, lift up to 30 pounds and perform repetitive work in a warm, humid greenhouse with pollen present year-round.
  • Valid drivers license
