We're hiring for Regulatory Program Manager: Seeds & Biotech

Description
As?Regulatory Program Manager: Seeds & Biotech you will be responsible for biotech application dossiers development and approval process, liaison with the GMO Act regulatory authorities and other government stakeholders, ensure regulated and approved permits compliance with regulatory requirements, support seed stewardship activities, support Corteva commercial business and other internal stakeholders, and provide key support to the Regulatory Lead for AME.

Qualifications
To Grow What Matters, You Will Need:

• Post-graduate degree in scientific discipline: preferably Molecular Biology/ Natural Sciences or related qualifications
• Five (5) years of experience in ag biotech regulatory environment
• Understanding of local and regional biotech regulatory policies will be added advantage
• Good analytical and data consolidation skills
• Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Flexibility to Travel locally and outside SA
• Ability to work closely with Industry Associations
• Be part of the team and able to work independently, have self-driven behaviour
• Fluent in English
• Attention to detail

Your Responsibilities And Related Challenges

• Manage seeds and biotech dossiers developments and approval processes in line with business needs and set timelines
• Support AME Regulatory lead with business strategy developments inputs and support strategy execution
• Keep abreast of biotech policy and regulatory developments and changes in the AME region and advise the business as needed
• Manage strategic and strengthen relationships with key regulatory authorities and support their initiatives in line with business needs
• Participate at biotech policy and regulations influential industry platforms to ensure Corteva interests are protected
• Support seeds stewardship activities to ensure Corteva compliance with regulatory, business and industry requirements. Provide timely improvement inputs on seed stewardship processes
• Support Corteva in managing relations with key biotech stakeholders including farmers and seed associations relevant to the business
• Be able to support Corteva business across various functions on biotech regulatory requirements and other relevant activities.
