We're hiring for Production Specialist to join our plant in Lusaka, Zambia.
You Will Be Part of Growing Team
As a Production Specialist you will play a critical role in supporting the seed production plant operations and safety.
Your Challenge:
- Establish and maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality for Shift Employees and communicate any absenteeism's
- Conduct effective root cause analysis
- Analyze and evaluate production data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Assigning Tasks to employees according to the Released Packing Plan
- Monitor labor utilization to accomplish the shift assignments
- Ensure daily Shift Production Targets are met while adhering to company safety standards and operating procedures
- Maintain optimum quality and consistency of products produced during shift according to the Approved Company Quality Standards.
- Monitor the shift productivity and delivery through Team Leaders ensuring minimal downtime
- Respond quickly to emergencies, breakdowns, or unexpected problems during the shift.
- Ensuring effective shift handovers to achieve production continuity while aligning to the Packing Plan
- Develop positive relationships with shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns
- Actively seek to resolve any concerns In the Shift while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
- Participate actively in training of employees on the policy and procedures of the company
- Update the Training Matrix for shift members.
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned by Supervisor and Management.
- Updating the production report at the end of each shift
Key Stakeholders and Interactions:
You will work closely with production, supply chain and quality teams.

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need
- Agricultural or science related bachelor's degree / Diploma
- Minimum of 3 years' work experience within production plant environment
- Computer literate with experience in Pastel
- Good communication skills
- May be required to work shifts if needed
