We are seeking a motivated Product Stewardship & Regulatory Analyst to join our team in Chile.
Your Challenge:
Provide direct Support to the RAS Seeds Leader, to ensure the effective execution of regulatory operations for seed import/export, certification, phytosanitary compliance, and stewardship in Chile. The role translates the strategic regulatory direction into coordinated execution with SAG, NPPOs, industry associations, and internal stakeholders (R&D, Production, Supply, Commercial).
Prepare and submit applications for import/export permits, phytosanitary certificates, and related documentation.
Track permit statuses, renewal dates, and regulatory timelines in the compliance system.
Provide direct Support to the RAS Seeds Leader, to ensure full compliance with all applicable local and international phytosanitary regulations governing the movement of seeds (import, export, transit, and domestic transfer), guaranteeing traceability, plant health integrity, and the enablement of strategic market access.
Maintain regulatory databases and dashboards (permits, inspections, requirements matrix).
Generate periodic compliance reports for SAG and internal stakeholders.
Coordinate logistics of permits and traceability documents for seed shipments.
Support field teams and supply chain with regulatory requirements during multiplication and certification.
Interact with SAG to make inquiries, deliver requested information or others.
Generate requests to SAG as described in the regulations and the requirements of the different locations. (R&D and GSO)
Interact with the Country Regulatory Manager, Compliance Specialist in Southern Cone and those responsible for Compliance of the local sites to guarantee the mitigation of any potential incident and delivery of information to SAG.
Generate procedures and protocols to standardize processes.
To Grow What Matters, You Will Need:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agronomy, Biology, or related.
4-5 years of experience in Regulatory, Compliance, QA, or Seed Operations.
Strong knowledge of GMO/NBT regulations and phytosanitary requirements.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Attention to detail, ability to track complex regulatory matters, and ensure compliance.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical decision-making capabilities.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects aligned with business needs.
Desired Experience:
Experience interacting with government agencies and regulatory bodies.
Ability to resolve shipping, import/export, and compliance-related issues.
Skilled in risk assessment, regulatory planning, and process improvement.
Familiarity with regulated environments and internal stewardship programs.
