We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Predictive Safety Center (PSC) in developing innovative tools for safety assessment of microbial biopesticides. This role will support regulatory safety evaluations for Corteva’s early-stage microbial pipeline candidates, with a focus on both human and environmental health endpoints.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and implement a bioinformatic framework to conduct safety assessment of microbial biopesticides using genomic screening.
• Develop and validate screening models, including qPCR-based approaches.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with regulatory, toxicology, and data science teams to ensure scientific rigor and strategic alignment.
• Clearly communicate toxicology testing strategy and results in both written and oral format.
• Represent Corteva at professional meetings, training and workshops.
• Publish and present scientific information at meetings and in peer-reviewed journals.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and scientific writing skills.

What You Need:

•  Ph.D. in Microbiology
• Experience with microbial genomics, host-pathogen interactions, and molecular assay development.
• Familiarity with qPCR, transcriptomic analysis, and comparative genomics.

What Makes You Stand Out:

• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks for biopesticides (e.g., EPA, EU, Brazil).
• Background in human and environmental safety.
