We're hiring a Parent Seed Plant Production Coordinator

As Parent Seed Production Coordinator, you will be responsible in managing all the Parent Seed Plant operations activities (receiving - drying - shelling - conditioning and packaging) including the parent seed plant operation team and the production activities with high standards and high-quality aspects.

You will also manage all parent seed plant operations reporting to plant management (PPM) and communicate the risks as well as the monthly and frequent updates.

You will be a middle connection between the seed plant operation lead (PPM) and seed plant team to ensure proper planning is in place to achieve the highest efficiency of the process.

You will be responsible to plan and coordinate with the maintenance team - the equipment list maintenance activities and conducting all PSSSR and PSSR for all equipment's, fully responsible for the safety of the plant team and safety standards implementation in all parent seed plant activities.

You will use the acute understanding of the area procedures and process to provide analysis, give instruction, plan, compile information, and work with supply chain or upstream/downstream customers to coordinate efforts.

Make business-driven decisions based on extensive experience with equipment and processes within production areas.

You will be responsible for assessing the quality, robustness, and capability of the process and making decisions, with others, to halt or modify production as needed should the process not meet quality and/or safety standards.

May have direct reports.

You Will Be Part of Growing Team

Seed production supply chain Egypt, this team is the most important production team in the Middle East in seed business as they are responsible for producing the highest quality seeds corn in the region that is supplying Egypt and MENA region market with corn seed.

Your Challenge:

  • Run the Parent seed plant operations in Egypt.
  • Achieving the quality standards in process and producing high quality parents.
  • Follow up capital projects in parent seed when needed.
  • Implement all plant operations safety standards and achieve the Zero incident in plant activities.
  • Manage parent seed warehouse and inbred management keeping and reporting.
  • Report all the parent seed monthly reports to controllership accurately.

Key Stakeholders and Interactions:

Main interaction within the SPSC functions:

  • Field operations team to plan the receiving of parents on time.
  • Quality team members manage sampling activities during plant operations.
  • Seed plant operation function leads to implement proper planning for seed receiving and drying activities.

Cross function interaction:

  • Controllership team to manage the expenses as well as the monthly parent's reports.
  • HR business partner, to support in the team development and succession plan for the team.

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural sciences
  • At least 5 years' experience in seed business (Corn)
  • Leadership skills to lead the field operation team.
  • Excellent English language skill for communication with regional and global production teams.
  • Excellent computer and analytical understanding.
