We have an exciting opportunity for a Packaging Operator to join our company at our Houston, TX site.

Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

This role will be on-site at the Corteva location.

What You'll Do:

  • Work with a variety of mechanical equipment on the packaging lines such as conveyors, stretch wrapper, hand tools, etc.
  • Follow Operating Discipline and Safety principles, procedures, and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment.
  • Perform paperwork and complete daily reports in electronic and paper files.
  • Perform process equipment troubleshooting.
  • Load/unload materials and freight, final product packaging, labeling of packaging and boxes.
  • Execute a variety of warehousing activities including forklift operation, collecting samples, etc.
  • Various other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • You have your High School Diploma/GED.

What Skills You Need:

  • You are willing and able to pull/push/lift up to 50 lbs. and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • You are able to read, write and verbally communicate fluently in English.
  • You are comfortable with and have a basic understanding of computer use.
  • You are willing and able to wear a uniform and safety equipment, such as respirators, earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes. 
  • You are willing and able to safely operate fork trucks, condors, and/or site vehicles; training will be provided by Corteva.
  • You are willing and able to work in environments that include: tight or closed-in spaces, climb stairs/ladders and working at heights, stand or walk for extended periods of time, frequent bending and reaching, outdoors and in inclement weather.
  • You are willing and able to work a primarily daytime schedule including overtime and some weekends as needed to meet production demands.
