The Site Reliability & Maintenance (SR&M) Leader provides strategic direction and support in all aspects of R&M supporting primarily the Midland Site. The Midland Site is a strategic site and largest manufacturing site supporting the Corteva Crop Protection Business, producing Formulation & Packaging and Active Ingredients plants for regional and global supply.  The Site Reliability & Maintenance (SR&M) Leader will collaborate with the site leadership team and Area Business Leaders to ensure appropriate R&M tools are integrated into site improvement and execution plans. This role supports both site leadership and business leaders with appropriate rituals, cadence, and metrics to ensure R&M activity is meeting business needs and driving functional excellence.

The Site Maintenance & Reliability Leader is responsible for the continued implementation and leadership of a progressive and integrated Reliability Centered Maintenance and Equipment Reliability Improvement processes (Asset Maintenance and Asset Reliability). The Site Reliability & Maintenance Leader drives the implementation, acceptance, and adoption of enterprise asset management system to manage maintenance processes. They play a key role in managing change in the organization and influencing the operations management team; are responsible for driving step change improvement to plant reliability and championing the continued move from reactive to proactive maintenance. They will apply their knowledge and experience to ensure continuous improvement to optimize the company's physical assets and maintenance and reliability processes and strategies.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive maintenance best practices: Innovate, document, improve work methods, standardize, train, collect, measure, and analyze key performance indicators to improve processes.
  • Develop functional competencies across the site.
  • Support leaders on site (ABLs) with integrating R&M metrics and best practices into rituals and cadence to ensure implementation (e.g., X-Matrix reviews).
  • Develop and implement effective predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Ensure production location maintenance activities are in adherence to corporate standards / guidelines (relevant EH&S, CORE Asset Integrity, etc.)
  • Perform on-boarding and on-going coaching with local team driving accountability, ownership, and Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Facilitate acquisition of tools and resources to support needs aligned with global CP IO strategy.
  • Interface with business functions (e.g., finance, procurement) to ensure site practices are consistent and aligned with global strategies.
  • Work with site and business leaders to implement metrics as appropriate in alignment with global strategy.
  • Assists in developing and implementing strategies to identify, prioritize, and implement proactive maintenance and asset reliability improvement processes.
  • Implement and maintain Reliability Key Performance Indicators.
  • Train and develop partners in Maintenance Excellence Concepts and tactics.
  • Utilizes leadership and expertise in the principles of Root Cause Analysis and Reliability Centered Maintenance to create an environment of continuous, aggressive defect elimination program that drives asset reliability improvement.
  • Work with engineering and OEMs to develop equipment and installation standards.
  • Work with site Capital Execution to ensure projects meet & follow R&M standards.
  • Assist Reliability Planning Review Teams with the establishment of PPM tasks stemming from the RCA activities.
  • Manage contracts related to maintenance tenants supporting Corteva operations.
  • Monitors AM and AR implementation progress and helps resolve issues that impede progress.
  • Completion of maintenance activities utilizing Asset Maintenance Work Process.
  • Assures that work is processed and executed in accordance with the Asset Maintenance Work Process and other integrated processes.
  • Assures compliance with recording of job plan evaluation, feedback, and equipment history for work orders.
  • Works in conjunction with the Operations Maintenance Gatekeeper to set priorities and accomplishment of Maintenance Cost Control.
  • Transmits Compliance, Environmental, Health, Safety, Management of Change, and Business Goals to direct reports. 
  • Be a Voice of Customer in standard development and rollouts
  • Enables the local team to support other sites and regions adding value to Corteva

Qualifications

What Skills You Need:

  • Four-Year Technical Degree in relevant subject areas (e.g., BS - Mechanical Engineering or similar) required.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in production/maintenance environment, preferably in a maintenance leadership role, or as a consulting resource.
  • Practical knowledge of a broad range of R&M practices and disciplines.
  • Professional presence with the confidence and leadership ability to convey need and vision to leadership.
  • Experience establishing and/or administering a Predictive/Preventive Maintenance program and tracking results.
  • Proven record of leading a self-independent acting Team (team of > ~ 80 employees)
  • Strong communication, teambuilding, and influencing skills.
  • Experience leading change in multiple site environments.
  • Industry recognized certification in R&M Leadership & Management beneficial (e.g., CRL, Maintenance and Reliability Management Diploma, etc).
  • Ability to develop, foster, and excel in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive delivery of business value through program implementation.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to influence multiple levels of the organization; able to take a "hands-on" approach in training and execution.
  • Knowledge of OEE, LEAN, Six Sigma will be an asset.
