Job Description:

Come join our team in the role of Market Research Leader! Serve as a coach / player to lead the Market Research group within the Corteva Marketing and Sales organization to support our Seed, Crop Protection, and Specialties businesses with actionable insights developed from the voice of the customer.

Location: Johnston or Indianapolis; (100% remote not available)

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and develop a team of market research managers and analysts—setting priorities and ensuring overall team objectives are met
  • Proactively collaborate and consult with key stakeholders to understand business needs and develop primary and secondary market research plans to address opportunities with end customers and channel partners
  • Manage all phases of primary market research projects by working with external vendors and leading market research staff
  • Understand and recommend applicable research and analysis design. Develop and review research instruments, e.g., questionnaires, discussion guides, analysis methods, and summary reports to draw out significant usable insights
  • Lead the effort to leverage secondary research studies and accompanying data to establish and track Corteva's and competitors' relative market positions
  • Design and develop executive summaries, reports and visualizations that clearly, concisely communicate key insights and implications for Corteva. Deliver presentations to stakeholder groups with high impact
  • Identify and execute opportunities to turn insights into action for stakeholders, e.g., key decisions on pricing, positioning, and support new marketing and sales programs
  • Collaborate with leader peers to identify cross-discipline solutions to address critical business problems with market intelligence data, information, and insights
  • Selection and management of market research vendor partnerships
  • Develop and manage the annual market research budget to address business priorities within a defined budget

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Market Research, Marketing, Business, or Economics required.
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Eight years or more of experience with market research and market analysis, or related.

  • Extensive knowledge of Corteva's products and markets
  • Agricultural business background is preferred
  • Demonstrated superior written and analytical skill sets
  • Excellent project management and organization skills required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities
  • Can build relationships with key stakeholders to establish confidence, trust, and credibility 
  • Ability to identify needed improvements, think strategically, innovate, and drive change
  • Self-starter that is motivated by results and stakeholder satisfaction
