Corteva has an exciting opportunity for Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Dahlgren, Illinois Production site.
What You Will Do:
- Provide hands-on support for daily plant operations and facility upkeep
- Work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure you and your colleagues go home safe every day
- Perform preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and improvements on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
- Adhere to all quality systems & safety procedures, including environmental regulations
- Assist with seasonal preparation, grounds maintenance, and facility projects
- Help develop and follow preventative maintenance plans
- Utilize predictive maintenance tools to detect and remedy future equipment failures
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Candidates who are currently enrolled, have completed, or committed to enrolling within twelve (12) months in one of the following are strongly preferred:
- Associates Degree program in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical/Electronic Technology, or related field
- Relevant industry certification programs (Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley PLCs, NFPA 70E Electrical Training, FUSION (TPC)
What Skills You Need:
- Positive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to be learn and be mentored
- Possess a valid US Driver's License
- Basic understanding of industrial electrical systems (up to 480V), motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, VFDs, or PLCs is a plus - but we will train the right candidate
- Comfort working with hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- You are willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: Climb and/or work in elevated areas, Stand and sit for extended periods, work outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to fifty (50) lbs., and perform work that involves repetitive motion and lifting
- You are comfortable with technology, possess good computer aptitude, and are willing and able to learn other company-specific applications as required (e.g. CMMS)
- You have good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- You uphold health and safety to the highest standard! You consistently help others and demonstrate adherence to safety protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure you and your colleagues go home safely every day
- You are willing and able to work scheduled on-call coverage when needed during seasonal peaks
- You understand that delivering to our customers on time keeps us viable, and you are willing and able to work day, evening, or night shift, which includes overtime, weekends, and holidays during seasonal peaks.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Six (6)+ months of hands-on experience (co-op, internship, personal projects, military, or prior job) in maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or industrial work
- Any completed college coursework or certifications in industrial maintenance, electrical, PLCs, robotics, or mechatronics
- Familiarity with conveyors, packaging equipment, or process controls
- Experience reading electrical prints and control schematics

- This position does NOT offer a comprehensive domestic relocation benefit package

Site Dedicated (100% at Corteva location):
- This role will be on-site at a Corteva location

The salary range for this position is $56,637.00 to $62,930.00.This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
