Job Description:

Job Purpose:

This position will lead activities including Facilities and Maintenance, Machinery Maintenance, Greenhouse structure maintenance, warehouse, genotyping, quarantine and seedhandling. 
In addition, the position will work closely with the program supervisor to achieve the planned outcome of assigned tasks while promoting a safe workplace and teamwork.

Duty/Responsibility:

1.    Lead your team to generate and ensure the execution of maintenance plans for Palmas facilities including infrastructure, greenhouses, mechanical and electrical maintenance.

2.    Lead your team to generate and ensure the execution of maintenance plans for Palmas equipment, including field and process equipment (dryers, conveyor, lab equipment, etc).

3.    Provide the appropriate conditions for field labor according to local regulations and Corteva Standards.

4.    Lead the supplies and warehouse and inventory of the site, and also the seedhandling operation. Ensure available stock for critical tasks, and processing and shipping quality seed in timely manner.

5.    Work considering legal permits and environmental declarations as needed. 

6.    Work with finance and sourcing area; excelling savings and innovation with a holistic site view; to improve efficiency and agility and generate a collaborative and professional contractor network.

7.    Control budget of the assigned responsibilities appropriately.

8.    Ensure strong connection with Facility LATAM lead, to have: communications and technology Corteva standards. 

9.    Comply with CAMS and EHS&S in your Team's daily operation.

10.    Lead and supervise the team in charge, establishing goals and objectives aligned with the site's strategy.

11.    Monitor and evaluate the individual and collective performance of the team, providing constructive feedback.

12.    Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.

13.    Identify the training and development needs of the team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:

Engineering University Degree. Some postgraduate in operations/administration will be required. Management system implementation and coordination expertise, (ex:ISO9000-9001) Fluent written and spoken English (it's desirable). Ability to establish, monitor, and provide feedback on objective performance criteria. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills (collaborate) Highly degree of motivation, and self-sufficient person. Ability to manage professional teams, strong supervision and multitask focus skills.
