Job Summary
The Maintenance Specialist at Corteva Agriscience RSA (Pty) Ltd is responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of all plant equipment and facilities through preventative and corrective maintenance activities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining production uptime and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities
* Perform routine preventative maintenance checks, inspections, and services on a wide range of industrial equipment, including but not limited to, processing machinery, packaging lines, HVAC systems, and utility infrastructure.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, identifying root causes of failures and implementing effective solutions.
* Execute corrective maintenance repairs promptly to minimize downtime and production losses.
* Conduct installations, upgrades, and modifications of equipment and systems in accordance with engineering specifications and safety protocols.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
* Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
* Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities and minimize impact on operations.
* Assist in the development and improvement of maintenance procedures and preventative maintenance programs.
* Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools, as well as specialized diagnostic equipment.
* Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance support outside of regular working hours.

Job Qualifications

• National Diploma or NQF Level 4 equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Millwright, or a related technical field.
• Red Seal certificate ?A must
• Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing or agricultural processing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and basic programming is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Valid driver's license.
