We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Specialists (STO) to join our team at our Constantine, Michigan location!

What You Will Do:

  • Work with third-party logistics company and corporate distribution team to ensure finished product ships immediately
  • Review purchase orders, shipping documents, and make special arrangements as necessary
  • Keep warehouse capacity at control levels and seed steadily shipping so we do not experience any production bottlenecks due to limited floor space
  • Partner with Production Technicians to ensure quality and accuracy of work
  • Assist in keeping warehouse capacity at control levels and seed steadily shipping so we do not experience any production bottlenecks due to limited floor space
  • Support off-site warehouse operations, logistics providers, and core carrier base
  • Monitor daily activities and ensure time and quality commitments are met
  • Coordinate the shipping and logistics process of Corteva products to sales representatives, customers, between locations, and growers.
  • Stay up to date on safety, and quality documentation. While providing training to teams
  • Accurately complete and maintain records in accordance with the Corteva Records Retention Policy
  • Partner with Production Technicians to ensure quality and accuracy of work
  • Other duties as assigned

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent 

What Skills You Need:

  • You have a minimum of two (2) years of Supply Chain, Logistics, Production, Operations, or other related planning and scheduling experience
  • You have a strong understanding of inventory management best practices and logistics
  • You possess good computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as required
  • You have a strong understanding of inventory management best practices and logistics
  • You are willing and able to perform the physical aspects of the job with or without reasonable accommodation:  climb and/or work in elevated areas, stand and sit for extended periods, work outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to fifty (50) lbs., and perform work that involves repetitive motion and lifting
  • You can work independently as well as in a team environment
  • You have good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • You have high diligence, can multitask, maintain an organized workplace, and have excellent critical thinking skills
  • You value health and safety! You will always work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure you and your colleagues go home safely every day
  • You understand that delivering to our customers on time keeps us viable and are willing and able to work a rotating shift and overtime hours, which can include nights and weekends during seasonal peaks to support production demand

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Two-Year Technical or Associates Degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, or related field
  • Knowledge or experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Continuous Improvement and Standardized Work
  • Experience leading programs or processes

Work Authorization and Relocation:

  • This position does NOT offer a relocation package
  • VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position 

Site Dedicated (100% at Corteva location):

  • This role will be on-site at our Corteva location
