Job Purpose:
Support business planning and operational coordination activities across the Seeds Latin America region by consolidating information, performing analysis, and ensuring alignment between demand, production, supply chain, and financial areas. This role contributes to informed decision making by providing reliable data, structured insights, and clear communication across teams.
Responsibilities:
• Seeds Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Macro Planning:
Support the inputs and coordination of the regional IBP cycle, with a specific focus on Supply Review.
Consolidate and structure information related to medium? and long?term business plans, ensuring alignment between expected demand, operational capacity, and financial commitments.
Prepare data, analyses, and summaries to support management discussions during planning reviews.
Monitor alignment between agreed plans and actual execution, highlighting risks, gaps, and potential impacts.
Support the definition, maintenance, and communication of the regional macro plan, ensuring consistency across countries, business units, and planning horizons.
Support Asset footprint analysis with scenarios modeling.
Follow up on agreed actions and support the tracking of progress against the approved plans.
• Support of Planning Activities:
Lead the support and coordination of the annual Seeds production Multi?Year Plan (MYP) review process for Latin America, ensuring alignment across countries, functions, and planning horizons.
Support Crop Planners by coordinating planning activities and ensuring consistency of assumptions, data, and timelines.
Ensure alignment of planning activities with related areas such as Portfolio Management, Marketing, and Demand teams.
Coordinate planning activities with Parent Seed Planning teams to ensure alignment between regional plans and global planning assumptions.
Support the preparation of inputs for cost?to?serve analysis, in coordination with planning and finance stakeholders.
Collaborate with Volume Planning to support inventory strategy definition, ensuring alignment between planned volumes and inventory objectives.
Facilitate communication and information flow across planning?related functions to support integrated decision?making.
• Cross?Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Supply Chain, production, demand, Marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment between business objectives and operational plans.
Act as a point of connection between different areas, facilitating information flow and alignment.
Support regional initiatives aimed at improving planning quality, efficiency, and visibility.
Job Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Ag Business, Business, Supply Chain Management, or equiv. field. Masters' degree desirable.
10 years of experience with progressively increasing responsibilities of seed business, seeds production and or Seeds Supply Chain; experience supervising others.
Primarily office environment. Ability to work in a matrixed environment and coordinate activities, prioritize needs, and manage multiple tasks in a time sensitive environment. Willingness and ability to travel domestically occasionally. Fluent Spanish, Portuguese and English.
Strong general business competencies; strong analytical aptitude; ability to take complex information and summarize it in a meaningful way; ability to work effectively cross functionally and across diverse stakeholder groups.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent leadership skills; innovative thinking; solid information management skills;
Applied knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications; cost and capacity analysis; network optimization; applied statistics; general agricultural business and biology background.
