The Screening and Bioprocess department within Crop Health R&D at Corteva Agriscience plays a vital role in the discovery, development, and optimization of live microbial products and natural product-based active ingredients. As we expand our pipeline of sustainable solutions, we are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Bioprocess Development team at our Alicante R&D Center. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Perform tasks related to solid-state fermentation processes using fungal strains 

• Conduct quality control and physicochemical characterization of samples 

• Apply microbiological and cultivation techniques focused on fungal microorganisms 

• Maintain and organize shared R&D spaces, ensuring cleanliness and operational readiness 

• Update experimental protocols and documentation 

• Record and manage data using Office 365 tools 

• Operate equipment related to downstream processing 

Required Qualifications: 

• Vocational training in Agri-food, Quality Control, or a BSc in Biology/Biotechnology (or a related field).  

• Hands-on experience with fungal solid-state fermentation 

• Familiarity with downstream processing for active ingredient extraction 

• Minimum 12 months of experience as a laboratory technician 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• At least 6 months experience outside of university setting 

• MSc in Biotechnology or a related discipline
