We're hiring a Key Accounts Manager

As Key Accounts Manager you will be responsible for Cultivating and managing strategic relationships with key agricultural clients and distributors to drive sustainable growth and market presence.

You will drive sustainable business growth by managing strategic relationships with key agricultural clients and distributors, aligning sales strategies with market dynamics, and ensuring effective execution of account plans.

It has been playing a great role on seed innovation, farmers trainings and participation in improving seed industry through cooperating with other stakeholders.

Your Challenge:

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve annual sales, margin, and pricing targets.
  • Forecast sales and adapt to market changes.
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to align on planning cycles.

Key Account & Distributor Management

  • Develop and execute key account plans aligned with regional strategies.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with distributors and partners.
  • Ensure delivery of key account plans through regular engagement.

Market Development & Expansion

  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities in the agricultural sector.
  • Analyze and implement country-specific distribution strategies.
  • Align local strategies with broader regional goals.

Market Intelligence & Risk Management

  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
  • Track and respond to generic product threats and counterfeit risks.
  • Support credit management and mitigate financial exposure.

Operational Excellence

  • Participate in demand planning and supply chain coordination.
  • Ensure timely collections and maintain strong CSR and finance collaboration.
  • Uphold compliance, ethics, and safety standards in all operations.

Team Collaboration & Communication

  • Contribute to area management and planning meetings.
  • Share regular updates on sales performance and market insights.
  • Promote internal and external communication for smooth operations.

People & Personal Development

  • Focus on continuous learning and development for self and team.
  • Apply people management skills to drive team success.

Key Stakeholders and Interactions:

Collaborates closely with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Technical, Finance, and Supply Chain, while managing strong external relationships with key distributors, large-scale farmers, and agro-dealers. Also engages with regulatory bodies and industry partners to support strategic growth and compliance .

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in Business or Sales Management is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years in key account management, sales, or business development within the agriculture industry.
  • Strong experience in Crop Protection.
  • Proven experience working with agricultural distributors, cooperatives, or large-scale farming operations.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing strategic customer relationships in the agri-inputs or agri-tech space (e.g., seeds, crop protection, fertilizers, machinery).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of agricultural market dynamics, seasonal cycles, and rural customer behavior.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and develop territory-specific strategies.
  • Familiarity with anti-counterfeit measures and generic product monitoring in the agri-inputs space.
  • Experience in managing credit risk and supporting collections in rural/agricultural markets.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Proficient in CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with demand planning and supply chain coordination in an agricultural context is a plus.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel extensively, including to rural and remote areas.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong commitment to ethical conduct, compliance, and safety—especially in field operations.
