We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Research & Development team in Eschbach, Germany, focused on fungicide solutions in crop protection. This internship offers hands-on experience in laboratory and Glasshouse research, contributing to the development of innovative Crop Health products.

Duration: 6 months from the start date which will ideally be in November 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Research Scientists/Associate Scientists and assist the team to carry out laboratory and/or Glasshouse studies or methodology development, according to protocols while ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Operate plant production and maintain irrigation.
  • Maintain phytopathogen collection, including but not limited to medium or substrate preparation, fungi and bacteria multiplication, inventory, etc...
  • Review, update and/or write Standard Operating Procedures and maintain accurate records of experiments and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with equipment/laboratory maintenance and cleaning.
  • Maintain chemical inventory, an orderly pesticide storage room and safety stations.
  • Conduct literature reviews on fungal pathogens.
  • Always ensure the proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment) and ensure product label directions are followed.

Qualifications:

  • You are currently enrolled in a recognized educational program - preferably in agriculture or a related field - leading to an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification. Alternatively, you may have recently completed your degree.
  • Solid understanding of plant pathology and crop protection principles.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proactive, task-oriented, and personable, with a natural ability to engage effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Good communication skills in English; German is a plus but not required.
  • A valid work permit.
