We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Infrastructure & Equipment Sr Research Associate to join our Research and Development facility at Arica, Chile.

The position will be accountable for the execution, planning and manage of projects and maintenance of the equipment and infrastructure. At the site, the candidate will be responsible for:

* Manage the workload and employee efficiency in the Greenhouse, Facilities and Machinery process

* Generate for the maintenance of all the infrastructure and equipment that support de field programs.

* Manage lean methods to implement resolution problems tools.

* Evaluate and present the projects and improvement required for the programs that support.

* Manage resources - workforce and budget - balancing workload and ensuring efficient cost management and operational excellence in the area.

* Generate a continuous improvement culture in the teams.

* Generate procedure and protocols to standardize all the process inside the departments.

* Create and manage the data base of the process to make operational decisions.

* Keep an efficient inventory of spare parts and supplies for Greenhouse, Facilities and Machinery departments, to ensure the operational continuity of the field programs.

* Perform and verify, on a regular basis, fulfillment of the EHS&S standards, identify potential risk on performed activities, promote safety procedures and Core Values.

* Lead and supervise the team in charge, establishing goals and objectives aligned with the site's strategy. Evaluate the individual and collective performance of the team, providing constructive feedback.

* Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork

* Identify the training and development needs of the team.

* University degree on Industrial, Electromechanical, Electronic, Mechanical or civil engineering

* Fluency in written and spoken English is desired.

* Strong people management - experience with field crew

* Manage Project Knowledge

* Autocad Knowledge desired

* Maintain software Knowledge desired

* Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.

* Lean certification or course is desired

* Advanced user of MS Office programs and other production, ArcGIS software is a plus.

* Diplomacy and negotiation skills to manage conflict situations
