Corteva is seeking to a hire a Global Regulatory Leader to be based at our Global Headquarters in Indianapolis, IN. The Global Regulatory Leader (GRL) is accountable to lead regulatory teams to develop and implement global regulatory strategies in support of global business objectives for multiple crop protection active ingredients.
Interacts With:
- The GRL functionally reports to and is supervised by the Global Regulatory Affairs & Policy Leader.
- The GRL works with the GRL Business Partner to ensure strategic alignment with business objectives within the segment.
- The GRL does not have direct reports but exercises leadership of global regulatory teams and individuals within R&D and other functions through influence, collaboration and negotiation.
- Leads global regulatory teams and supports regional regulatory teams to ensure the correct implementation of Corteva product development processes.
- Accountable to lead global regulatory teams supporting business objectives. Engages in regional regulatory teams to support and provide global perspective, and alignment on key regional objectives and communications.
- GRL represents Corteva on industry bodies, at relevant trade and industry conferences, and actively monitors global policy trends to serve a key consultant.
What You'll Do:
- Leads global regulatory strategy development and implementation at the active ingredient program level, aligned to business goals and strategy, as well as Corteva R&D innovation goals.
- Leads the global regulatory project team to successful approvals through strong partnerships with regulatory sciences and regulatory affairs colleagues. This includes facilitating regulatory data reviews, registrability assessments, and regulatory project decision-making.
- Responsible for clear communication of global regulatory strategy, plans and business objectives. Shares key developments to regulatory project team members to assess potential impact on global or regional regulatory strategy and plans.
- Provides regulatory guidance for development and implementation of technical strategy, as well as program plans and business case.
- Accountable for planning and management of the global regulatory budget for the portfolio.
- Maintains full awareness of active ingredients programs, including critical regulatory milestones and regulatory issues. Intervenes for and escalates regulatory issues, with relevant regional colleagues, to GRL Business Partner and commercial stakeholders, as required.
- Responsible for coordinating regulatory advocacy efforts at the global level.
- Serves as a key advisor on regulatory matters to relevant commercial colleagues and respective networks, in collaboration with regional regulatory colleagues.
- Guides and mentors regulatory staff. Supports onboarding and development of a world-class global regulatory function by sharing expertise, knowledge and functional best practices.
What Skills You Need:
- B.Sc. in science or engineering related discipline (organic chemistry, formulation chemistry, engineering, biochemistry, plant pathology, entomology, analytical chemistry, agronomy, toxicology, etc.).
- At least ten years of regulatory experience in the agriculture industry or related highly-regulated sector in multiple global jurisdictions.
- Ability to communicate complex topics to a range of audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong project management experience.
- Leadership through influence, preferably of virtual cross functional teams.
What Makes You Stand Out:
