Join Us as a Field Testing and Phenotyping Specialist! 

We are thrilled to announce a new opportunity to join our Seed Product Development (SPD) team, supporting Corn and Sunflower R&D trials across Europe. This role is essential to meeting our annual targets and supporting the European sales and marketing teams with high-quality field data and trial execution. 

The Field Testing and Phenotyping Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting trials, from seed preparation and planting to harvest and data analysis. This position is designed for those who thrive in dynamic environments and are eager to make a tangible impact on agricultural innovation. 

 

Your Challenge:

  • Coordinating field operations and data collection for sunflower trials in Thrace Region. 
  • Providing agronomic support for sunflower R&D trials across Thrace Region. 
  • Coordinate and work together with Seed Production and Characterization (SPRC) and Global Seed Operations (GSO) while data collection for parent characterization trials in production areas. (Izmir, Bursa, Eskisehir) 
  • Lead seed preparation, trial plantings, field observations, and harvest activities. 
  • Manage agronomical aspects in collaboration with farmers. 
  • Plan and execute experiments, including data collection and UAS (drone) flights for trait analysis. 
  • Support corn yield testing trials in the region. 
  • Oversee seed inventory management. 
  • Organize and supervise temporary employees during trial seasons. 
  • Summarize experimental results, identify problem areas, and prepare comprehensive data reports. 
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments. 
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and efficient work processes.

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or related field; master's degree is a plus. 
  • Strong Knowledge in Sunflower and Corn cultivation. 
  • At least 3 years’ experience in R&D, especially with Sunflower and Corn. 
  • Collaborators who thrive in a diverse, inclusive work environment 
  • Demonstrated statistical and data skills, attention to detail, results orientation 
  • Strong record of innovation and applying new technology 
  • Willingness to work flexible working hours and travel frequently. 
  • Good communication skills in Turkish and English, both written and spoken. 
  • Valid driver’s license. 
  • Ability to manage and deal with conflict, ambiguity, complexity 
  • Ability to obtain UAS (drone) license. 
  • Ability to drive Agricultural machinery
