Join our dynamic team in Gadesco-Cremona, Italy, where we're driving new product development for maize and other crops, and shaping the future of elite germplasm for Southern Europe.
As a Field Testing & Phenotyping Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting our maize research program by:
- Organizing and executing seed preparation, treatment, and planting for yield trials and nurseries.
- Leading seasonal workers during critical phases such as seed counting, thinning, pollination, and harvest.
- Operating and maintaining agronomic machinery (combine, chopper) and data collection equipment (NIR systems, weather loggers).
- Managing experimental data using specialized software for planting, note-taking, and harvest analysis.
- Ensuring safety standards are met and equipment complies with Pioneer and Berufsgenossenschaft guidelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or FH degree in Agriculture, or 3-5 years of experience in agronomic field trials and team leadership.
- Hands-on experience with agricultural machinery and its maintenance.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in computer tools and experimental design.
- Willingness to travel and operate machinery abroad.
- A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies.
