Corteva Agriscience is looking for an innovative, energetic, and transformational Federal Government Affairs Manager.
The Federal Government Affairs Manager will play a critical role in advancing Corteva Agriscience’s policy and advocacy objectives across the US Federal Government. This role will focus on corporate government and industry affairs matters, while contributing to broader government affairs and industry engagement strategies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional project management capabilities and ensure cross-functional alignment within the Government Affairs (GA) team. The position requires a proactive approach to managing external consultants and ensuring performance and deliverables are aligned with company objectives.
Primary Responsibilities - How will you help us Grow!
Policy Development & Advocacy
- Develop and align policy positions on corporate matters, including tax, labor, competition, and antitrust, in collaboration with the GA team and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor regulatory and legislative developments and provide strategic insights to support the company’s advocacy efforts.
- Proactively engage with industry associations, policymakers, and stakeholders to advance Corteva’s objectives.
Strategic Coordination
- Collaborate with the Head of US Government and Industry Affairs, and regional GA leads to ensure policy alignment and consistency across the GA team.
- Lead complex cross-functional initiatives to streamline policy development and advocacy processes.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a key liaison with industry partners, trade associations, and government entities to foster relationships and influence policy outcomes.
- Provide strategic guidance on government and industry trends impacting the company to internal stakeholders.
Project Management
- Support oversight and performance of external consultants, including managing contracts, deliverables, and alignment with Corteva’s strategic priorities.
- Apply project management methodologies, metrics, or practices for overseeing complex initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of results.
- Lead and support ad-hoc government affairs projects and initiatives.
Experience and Education – What you'll bring to the table!
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or a related discipline. Experience within the agriculture, biotechnology, or manufacturing sectors preferred.
- Strong expertise in corporate policy areas including tax, labor, competition, and antitrust.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of policy and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management, with PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certifications strongly preferred.
- Experience managing external consultants and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

This position may travel up to 20% of the time during different parts of the year.
