Corteva Agriscience is looking for an innovative, energetic and transformational EUC Hardware Lead.
The EUC Hardware Lead is responsible for setting and realizing the vision for IT solutions within their portfolio of products, platforms, and services. This includes leading the transformation of the hardware platforms with particular focus on future hardware developments, standardizations, vendor leadership product and ITIL service management, 24X7 availability, business continuity, high-quality end user experience, information security, and cost effectiveness. You will lead a team of talented employee and contract engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our hardware platforms. You will be the go-to expert for Hardware-related matters, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role reports to the EUCEE Leader.
The ideal candidate for this position has a proven track record of leading and deploying Hardware compute and endpoint solutions in a large global, or multi-regional organization. The candidate needs to be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and highly matrixed environment. This includes working with ambiguity, creating operational maturity vs. having it already in place, and have successful experience managing operations and hiring and developing talent.
Key Responsibilities - What you will do to help us grow!
- Hardware Management: Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of endpoint systems. Implement best practices for system security, performance optimization, and monitoring.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Act as the escalation point for complex Hardware-related issues. Provide on-call support as needed to ensure 24/7 system availability.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard data and systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Technical Oversight: Guide the team in maintaining endpoint devices to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Tool and Technology Enablement: Support the adoption and effective use of tools for device monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting, empowering the team to excel in their roles.
- Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Lead efforts to evaluate device performance and identify opportunities for enhancement, implementing upgrades where necessary.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with IT colleagues and cross-functional teams to align on infrastructure and application initiatives that impact end-user computing.
- Vendor Relationships: Work with hardware vendors and suppliers, ensuring contracts and service agreements support organizational needs while providing opportunities for team input.
- Industry Awareness: Encourage the team to stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities for system performance improvements and implement enhancements.
Additional Responsibilities
- Seek, embrace, and maintain strategic partnerships with product vendors and suppliers.
- Maintain high levels of security, availability, performance, and scalability of infrastructure operations.
- Establish strong connections between the respective teams within IT. They should have a deep understanding of the interdependent relationship between infrastructure, information security and the applications/services.
- Provide leadership, coaching and direction to a team of highly skilled global workforce of employee and contingent workers.
- Incorporate operational excellence standards into daily operations to continually improve performance.
- Manage global vendor engagement for new products and standards.
Education and Experience - What do you bring to the table?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years' applicable experience leading and/or directing a representative IT planning, application development, support and/or infrastructure organization preferred.
- Experience with large scale endpoint procurement, deployment and operations.
- Demonstrated consistent leadership effectiveness in technology planning, operations, implementation delivery and development.
- Strong experience managing Windows PC and Mac laptops/desktops in an enterprise Active Directory domain environment.
- Expertise in system deployment, imaging, patching automation, and leveraging platforms such as SCCM, OSD, JAMF, or Intune.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent product management skills.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong ability to engage with a global team and provide coaching and oversight.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks within the constraints of timeline and budget.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse technologies and techniques.
Other Preferred Qualifications:
- ITIL, Agile, PMP certification(s).
- Operating in an Infrastructure as Product (IaP) environment.
- Experience in strategy, customer service, and internal consulting.
- Proven success in contributing to a collaborative environment.
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
