You Will Be Part of Growing Team

Reporting to the Head of Global Credit, the EMEA Strategic Credit Leader is responsible for managing credit risk management across the region to support sustainable business growth while optimizing exposures. This role partners closely with Commercial, Commercial finance, Legal, and Treasury teams to ensure robust credit governance, strategic alignment, and operational excellence. The role also engages external parties to enable financing structures to support business initiatives.

Your Challenge:

Credit Strategy & Risk Management

  • Develop and execute regional credit strategies aligned with global policies.
  • Monitor credit risk exposure across EMEA markets. Evaluate and monitor credit risk exposure for key clients, aligning with the company's risk appetite and commercial strategy.
  • Define and approve credit limits based on financial analysis, market trends, and customer performance.
  • Monitor country risk and take action to mitigate impact.
  • Identify and implement risk mitigation tools such as credit insurance, guarantees, and customer financing.

Collaboration to enable business objectives

  • Collaborate with regional commercial leaders and finance managers to align credit decisions with business priorities.
  • Act as a strategic partner in commercial projects and customer negotiations.
  • Work closely with both internal partners and external partners like banks and financial institutions to structure financing programs to reach business objectives of growth or working capital optimization.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership on credit portfolio performance and emerging risks.

Credit metrics and forecast

  • Partner with credit operations, including collections, past due management, and credit reviews for EMEA customers.
  • Monitor Credit KPIs and drive for improvements.
  • Provide accurate AR & DSO forecast, explain variances vs OL and PY including CoC and BF.
  • Provide Bad Debt expense OL for the region based on customers and country risk.
  • Work closely with commercial finance on providing credit inputs for Multiyear plans.
  • Work on ad hoc projects as needed.

Team Development

  • Mentor and guide regional credit analysts and support staff.
  • Engage regional credit team to enable clear understanding of company direction.

Location:

This role can be based in Asturias (Spain), Cremona (Italy), Adana (Türkiye), Guyancourt (France) or Warsaw (Poland).

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in credit management, finance or commercial finance area are a plus
  • Strong understanding of EMEA market dynamics and regulatory environments, high risk countries and Agri sector risks
  • Familiarity with security instruments and risk mitigation tools to reduce portfolio and countries related risk.
  • Experience working with banks, external partners and insurance companies.
  • Proven leadership, stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate with impact.
  • Proficiency in forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
