Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Commercialization Leader insect, nematode management, and seed applied technology for EMEA.

This role leads innovation management for Leader insect, nematode management, and seed applied technology in EMEA. The goal is to deliver top-tier business cases and align programs with global and regional priorities. The RCL works with Local Product Concept Teams (LPCTs) to outline market inputs, portfolio strategy, and ensure end-to-end launch execution. They ensure cross-functional collaboration to maximize return on investment by prioritizing and allocating funds effectively while delivering the business case commitments.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop a holistic understanding of the innovation management process for molecule and formulation development and governance, leading and driving the process within the region and for the respective Global segment(s).
  • Become the trusted advisor for the LPCT (Local Product Concept Team), supporting, visioning business opportunities, and challenging appropriately to drive the best and most robust business case. Collecting inputs, assumptions, and needs from the commercial organization.
  • Serve as the key conduit between the LPCT, the Global Business Segments, and the CP BU. Setting a strong cadence and working norms with the respective LPCTs and stakeholders to develop new business cases and re-evaluate existing business cases. Securing alignment across the LPCT/Region/Global business strategy while respecting research affordability and capabilities.
  • Business case documentation will include the core documents for innovation management should include assumption development, documentation, resource plan, ROI evaluation and portfolio navigator entry/evaluation/accuracy. Key metrics include: eNPV of the innovation management value and Productivity Index (PI)
  • Rapid ramp-up to develop market and customer expertise in respective segments, provide an intimate regional view to the global segments with a clear communication in global strategy to the regions. Utilize this expertise to best support and challenge LPCTs and Global Segments.
  • Provide support and consultation during the marketing plan mix development, including value proposition, competitive analysis, pricing, robust launch plans and reviews.
  • Remain primarily long-term focused, ~80% or three years pre-launch (business case, marketing mix, launch plan, & launch), while 20% would be focused three years post-launch horizon to evaluate delivery on the business case promise (what went well, what needs to improve for the future, any interim changes that can be made).
  • Advocacy and freedom to operate are critical to the launch success and delivering on the business case. Serve as a key member of the network and driver for advocacy initiatives to accelerate and obtain freedom to operate for respective projects.

What You'll Need: 

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture/Marketing/Business or other related discipline is required. Will consider other degrees with related marketing and/or field sales experience.
  • Location: Versoix, Switzerland
  • Minimum of ten years in the industry with relevant sales, marketing experience.
  • Must have strong business acumen and market understanding. Familiarity with agricultural markets, customers/target audiences, pricing strategies, and competitors.
  • Shall possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to create networks and lead by influence demonstrating strong collaboration and teamwork skills to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Strong self-management, personal leadership, and listening skills required. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills accompanied by strong presentation abilities.
  • Cross-functional coordination, collaboration, and stakeholder management experience.
  • Proficiency with excel and other analytics tools is required with the ability to learn and master key tools used for innovation management such as Portfolio Navigator.

  • Strong Interpersonal Effectiveness: Empathy, conflict resolution, adaptability, and collaboration are essential for building and maintaining strong, positive relationships across LPCTs, and other key stakeholder groups.
