Job Description:

Corteva Agriscience is currently hiring for an Early Career Development Manager.

The position will own and oversee the success of early career talent, both interns and full-time associates supporting the North America Commercial team.  This role will build and execute a strategy to recruit elite talent, specifically 40-50 Interns & 20-30 full-time associates per year. This role will also include managing the curriculum, advancement, and skill building of interns and full-time associates during their development period. 

What You'll Do:

  • Evaluate current Associate Territory Manager, Commercial Excellence Associate, and intern programs.  Define programs and goals for the future and provide progress updates on development milestones, employee mobility, quality of our managers/mentors, etc.
  • Network to find, attract, and hire diverse and outstanding talent into the NA Commercial organization. Partner with HR and Sales Excellence Managers to recruit at relevant Universities, colleges, and other locations to find the best talent. 
  • Coordinate college recruiting program for college interns and early career associates utilizing network of local champions to serve as recruiting leaders.
  • Identify and recruit at new venues specifically to find diverse talent, especially for Commercial Excellence Associate roles.  
  • Identify and utilize a network of local recruiting leaders (i.e., District Sales Leaders, recent Territory Manager alumni) to support recruiting efforts. Partner with Sales Excellence team and sales leaders to interview, hire, and place new candidates. 
  • Ensure the site/area where employee works has a clear project, area of responsibility, manager/mentor plan. 
  • Ensure employee onboarding is done with excellence.
  • Coordinate group and individual training and development with ATMs, Commercial Excellence Associates, and interns, with the assistance of Sales Excellence Managers. 
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of the intern, ATM, and Commercial Excellence Associate program curriculum, ensuring all participants are developing and learning at appropriate pace. 
  • Work closely with the intern, ATM, and Commercial Excellence Associate direct manager/mentor.  Ensuring they are equipped and are developing, coaching the employee effectively and if needed are coaching/disciplining the employee as needed.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Ag Business, Business, Training, Human Resources, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience with progressively more responsibility. Sales experience and experience in agricultural industry strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of overall sales process for agriculture Territory Managers is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively cross functionally and across diverse stakeholder groups 
  • Ability to network effectively both internally and externally to find and attract elite talent
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent leadership skills; innovative thinking; solid information management skills
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment and coordinate activities, prioritize needs and manage multiple tasks in a time sensitive environment. 
  • Ability to think and act strategically and excel at process management and organization.
  • Position must be located at either Johnston or Indianapolis Global Business Centers.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the US up to 25% of time.
