Corteva Agriscience is currently seeking a District Sales Manager to support our Dairyland Seed business. This role will serve the following counties in Southwest Michigan: Berrien, Cass, St Joseph, Branch, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Allegan, Barry, Ottawa, Kent. The role requires a self-motivated, and lifelong learner who seeks out strong relationships within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do:
- Increase the distribution of Dairyland products in assigned district by selling to direct buyers and assisting Selling-Dealers to sell to their customers.
- Recruit new direct-buy accounts and selling-Dealer accounts in all areas of assigned district.
- Responsible for training selling-Dealers in sales techniques, products, and sales programs to maximize their efficiency and effectiveness.
- Responsible for following up with direct buyers throughout the season to re-confirm or make any order changes necessary to increase the efficiency of seed deliveries.
- Collect all accounts receivables within company programs and guidelines.
- Plant and harvest on farm plots and other strip trials to increase knowledge of product performance.
- Report all plot harvest results to West Bend in a timely manner.
- To plan and conduct meetings with Dealers such as Appreciation Banquets and the Selling-Dealer Meeting.
- Provide sales estimates by crop throughout the year as requested.
- Provide Sales Call Reports as directed by Regional Sales Manager.
- Analyze and control expenditures of district to conform to budgetary requirements
- Follow up on all seed complaints in a timely fashion and document all observations and customer concerns.
- Deliver late spring orders.
- Complete a one-year dealer business plan with each selling dealer and monitor progress towards achieving a sales increase in all products.
- Support all programs and encourage all dealers to participate in sales programs that will increase distribution of Dairyland products on more acres and on more farms.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree and two-four years related sales and/or agriculture experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Supervisory skills
- Must be able to sell, negotiate, influence, resolve conflict and coach
- Willing to travel and work in rural environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Visa sponsorship and international relocation are NOT available for this position.
- Valid driver's license

The salary range for this position is $ to $.This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
