This job is about feeding the world through relationships and effective inventory deployment to ensure the products that our farmer customers need to grow their crops is delivered on time for the growing season at the best possible cost and in the most sustainable manner.

You will be responsible to manage the supply/demand balance of saleable products within our logistics network through effective and proactive collaboration with Customer Service, Commercial, Supply Chain teams, and our distribution partners. You will be challenged with volatile forecasts, unreasonable schedules, and daily unexpected events that mess up your perfect plans (no kidding...it's logistics).  You will succeed through quick decision-making, creative and resilient strategies, and team collaboration to optimally balance cost and service of product flow through the network.

Role and Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Distribution Requirements Planner is to develop and execute an optimal deployment plan at our warehouses and bulk terminals, considering dynamic production plans and market-driven demands. Detailed responsibilities are below.

  • Management of inventory balances at distribution centers, in alignment with product segment strategies, through real-time deployment and redeployment decisions
  • Ownership of cost and service performance on your shipping lanes
  • Drive continuous improvement in deployment accuracy and cost/service KPIs for your product market segments through collaboration with your commercial and supply partners
  • Monitor and manage inventory health through your products' life cycle, including end of life disposition
  • Engage in S&OP and S&OE forums to escalate and drive optimized decisions for the company
  • Maintain master data in ERP and planning tools
  • Support new product launch projects with effective supply chain design and setup

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, business, or technical field required. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and analytical skills are required.
  • Agriculture industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience in SAP MRP2/IBP/ERP technology performing supply chain tasks such as inventory deployment, auditing and management, or Logistics operations is favorable
  • Strong communication skills & teamwork.  Ability to establish strong networks, relationships and disciplined communication with key stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize work and escalate when help is needed
  • Innovative mindset; there are opportunities for transformational improvement in this role
