The Data and Statistics Manager will play a vital role in Crop Protection's adoption and evolution of statistical forecasting. The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the execution of the statistical forecasting process with support from the Demand Forecasting Data & Statistics Analyst.

The successful candidate will drive the generation of statistical forecasts to support the monthly S&OP process and own the continuous improvement of statistical forecasting performance leveraging advanced data analysis techniques. This role will be responsible for working with the analyst and will also be expected to support the Demand Planning Process Lead in efforts to roll out and improve statistical forecasting across Crop Protection.

What You'll Do:

* Lead execution of the statistical forecasting process within SAP IBP, from history cleansing to statistical forecast generation and analysis.

* Timely generation of statistical forecasts in SAP IBP, including successful execution of all related batch jobs and report any issues encountered.

* Supervise data and statistics analyst, with possibility to increase team size and span of control as forecasting evolves.

* Set criteria for and monitor validation of outlier correction, time series analysis and segmentation performed in SAP IBP by the Demand Forecasting Data & Statistics Analyst

* Identify need for business input and facilitate discussions with the appropriate Demand Managers or other cross-functional stakeholders to gather the necessary inputs.

* Guide tuning of statistical models in SAP IBP to improve statistical forecast performance.

* Drive improvement of statistical forecast performance with prioritization based on business value.

* Lead development and maintenance of robust performance reports for tracking statistical forecasting efficacy and identifying areas for improvement.

* Promptly inform the Demand Planning Process Lead of any exceptions or issues that emerge during the statistical forecast process, ensuring a timely resolution.

* Identify SAP IBP configuration changes required to address business and/or process needs.

* Act as a liaison in the global adoption of statistical forecasting.

* Monitor trends, emerging technology, and SAP IBP enhancements for potential application to CP statistical forecasting.

* Conduct trainings (refresher and onboarding) for new demand managers as needed.

* Establish regular connects with the regional demand SME to identify issues with statistical forecasting process including adoption challenges and identify solutions to mitigate them.

QualificationsEducation:

* Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, or data analytics. Master's degree or further education in a related field preferred.

What Skills You Need:

* 5+ years of experience with data analysis, preferably in supply chain functions and / or statistical forecasting.

* 10+ years of experience conducting data analysis to generate insights.

* Demonstrated proficiency in statistical forecasting techniques.

* 3+ years of experience working with and configuring SAP IBP.

* In-depth knowledge of Excel, PowerBI, Python, and other data manipulation tools.

* Understanding of machine learning and predictive modeling can be beneficial.

* Knowledge of the Crop Protection business and typical product demand profiles.

* Proactive and collaborative approach to working with leaders across the organization.

* Strong problem-solving abilities.

* Solid communication and presentation skills.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

* Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
