Industry Sector: Agribusiness
Industry Type: Chemical, Pesticide and Fertilizer
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: Competitive
Job Description:

Corteva Agriscience is a global leader in agricultural innovation, where advanced analytics and digital twin platforms are transforming how we optimize operations, breeding, and sustainability. We are looking for a Front-End Developer with a strong UI/UX background to join our Systems Optimization & Decision Analytics (SODA) team. You will play a key role in designing and building intuitive, responsive, and data-rich web applications and dashboards that enable users to interact with complex AI models and simulation systems.

This is not a typical front-end role—your work will bring advanced optimization, predictive modeling, and real-time digital twins to life for scientists, planners, and business users.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and build interactive front-end interfaces for web applications that support decision intelligence systems, AI models, and digital twin platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and domain experts to visualize high-dimensional and dynamic data effectively.
  • Translate complex backend model outputs (e.g., forecasts, plans, simulations) into intuitive UI components, charts, and dashboards.
  • Build features to support human-in-the-loop systems for scenario exploration, model comparison, and what-if analysis.
  • Contribute to and evolve a modular design system that supports rapid development and consistency across analytics applications.

What Technical Skills You'll Need:

  • Strong front-end development skills with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks.
  • Solid grounding in UI/UX design principles, wireframing, and interactive prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD).
  • Experience creating data-intensive dashboards and visualizations using libraries like D3.js, Plotly, Chart.js, or Recharts.
  • Familiarity with state management (Redux, Zustand, etc.) and component libraries (e.g., MUI, Tailwind, ShadCN).
  • Experience integrating with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and backend ML services.
  • Comfortable working with JSON-based outputs from AI/ML models, and designing interfaces to visualize probabilistic forecasts, recommendations, and simulations.
  • Understanding of responsive and adaptive web design, accessibility, and performance optimization.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Prior experience working with digital twin systems, simulation outputs, or geospatial dashboards.
  • Experience using WebSockets or real-time data streaming (e.g., via Kafka, MQTT).
  • Familiarity with user testing, A/B experimentation, and design iteration workflows.
  • Experience working alongside teams using Databricks, Azure, or cloud-native data pipelines.
  • Understanding of how to represent uncertainty, multi-scenario comparisons, and interactive model feedback in visual UX.

About You:

  • You are a user-first builder who loves turning complex backend logic into beautiful, usable interfaces.
  • You care deeply about visual clarity, information architecture, and making AI systems transparent and explorable.
  • You thrive in cross-disciplinary teams, where you can learn from scientists and engineers while bringing your own design and dev skills to the table.
  • You're excited about the future of AI-enhanced decision systems—and want to be the one that helps people interact with them intuitively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or related field.
  • 3+ years of front-end development experience with a portfolio showcasing data-heavy or technical applications.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
