Responsibilities:

As a ML/Data Engineer at Corteva, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data pipelines that empower our data-driven initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include:

* Designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources.

* Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient data engineering solutions.

* Implementing and maintaining data warehousing and storage solutions to support data analytics and reporting needs.

* Ensuring data quality and integrity by establishing data validation and cleansing processes.

* Deploying and managing big data and cloud-based technologies to enable real-time and batch data processing.

* Contributing to the continuous improvement of data architecture and data management best practices.

* Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines and database systems to identify and resolve performance issues.

* Staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in data engineering and recommending innovative solutions to enhance data infrastructure.

QualificationsQualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

* Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data engineering role.

* Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

* Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.

* Solid understanding of database systems, SQL, and NoSQL databases.

* Experience with cloud-based data platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

* Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.

* Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies like Snowflake or Redshift.

* Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Strong attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy and reliability.

Bonus Skills:

The following skills are not required but would be a plus:

* Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

* Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.

* Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and data science workflows.

* Background in working with real-time data streaming technologies.

* Previous experience in agriculture/breeding industry is a plus.

Salary Range The salary range for this position is $99,580 - $124,480 yearly. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
