Purpose:

  • Provides registration expertise for actives and products in Poland.  

  • Establishes registration needs and compiles registration packages/dossiers for local and zonal submissions based of local Regulation in Polish or English.? Contribute to the regulatory planning.?Provides intelligence and evaluation of developments in regulatory, legislative and secondary approvals in his/her geography to Central Europe Regulatory Leader and other interested stakeholders.? Prime contact point and negotiator with relevant regulatory agencies for obtaining approvals and for Regulatory lobbying activities in area of influence. 

  • Represent Regulatory Department at Local Product Concept Team. Represent Corteva in local industry associations 

  • Provides local G&PA and Food Chain support.  

Key Responsibilities: 

-Responsibility for establishing work plans to meet the needs of regulatory projects. Establishes and submits dossiers within timelines to the requirements of the business. Manage regulatory budget.

-Co-operate with Regional and European Regulatory Team to prepare countries regulatory dossiers and with Field Biology to ensure timely inclusion of biology package into the overall registration dossier.

- Track progress of product packages in accordance with Regulatory work plans. Takes proactive approach to resolving issues by involvement with Sales, Marketing and Regional Regulatory Manager.

- Acts as key liaison with local authorities. Monitors regulatory developments and issues at country level and provides timely feedback to Regional Regulatory Manager and Regulatory Networks when appropriate

- Influences the regulatory decisions and deals effectively with specific issues raised by local authorities pursuing sound scientific arguments, both written and verbal.

- Understands the needs of local authorities and actively pursues to hasten products registration. Provides feedback to Marketing and Regulatory and Biology functions.

- Permanent monitor changes in national law, related to plant protection products. Report all changes to Regulatory Department.

- Provide technical support to food chain focal points

- Government affairs: support necessary actions to ensure operational safety for Corteva business across region. Maintain good relationship towards local authorities and coordinate lobbing to protect Corteva and industry positions. Interact with local industry associations.

- Regulatory expertise and support to crisis and emergencies. Provide Adverse Effect reporting when necessary.

Interacts with:  

  • Members of the CU Regulatory Team(s), whether permanent or ad-hoc;  

  • Local Product Concept Team, as critical resource on regulatory matters (full member of LPCT)?and other stakeholders at country/CU level such as local CPD&D Leader and CU Leader, 

  • Zonal Product Leaders (ZPL) will also interact within project networks  

  • ZPL and Zonal Regulatory Associate (ZRA) if necessary 

  • Local Industry associations.  

  • External regulatory authorities.  

  • Local distributors / agents / consultants

Skills & requirements:

  • Preferred Agriculture University Degree or Biology University Degree

  • Preferred 5 years experience in plant protection, including regulatory matters.

  • Knowledge and experience of the responsible country registration process. Knowledge on EU registration processes, including knowledge of EU Directives.

  • Expected understanding of Food Chain problems.

  • The candidate must be an empathetic listener with strong customer focus skills.

  • Good organizational and computer skills, as well as fluent in Polish language are essential.

  • The successful candidate will be required to use Excel, Word, and several regulatory systems to gather, analyze and up date data and the necessary training will be given where required. 

  • Ability to work alone as well as interact with country team, regulatory department and registration authorities.

  • Good communicator and team player. May have travel within the assigned geography.
