You have the opportunity to join our team as a Cost Accounting Key User in Punto Polanco, Mexico City.

The position of Cost Accounting Key User will support the CoE cost accountants, the businesses and sites for LA and NA. The business partner will work on enhancing customer value to business operations and business finance by working closely with the cost accountants mainly but should have a proximity with other areas such as Local controllers, Comm Fin and Ops Fin. This position will report to the Cost accounting manager and is located at the CoE in Mexico City.

Activities:

• Internal Controls

  • Reinforce internal controls and identify areas of opportunity. Develop remediation plans for ineffective controls. Review Account Reconciliations, act as backup for reviews / approvals of the team leader in case of absence for any motive.

• Site Leadership & Business Support

  • Work with cost accountants to strengthen the contribution to Operations and Business Finance.

• Center for Service Delivery

  • Develop and train personnel, identify and prioritize tasks, drive process improvements, coordinate implementation of new initiatives. Ensure that the Accounting Center is satisfying Site and Business accounting and reporting requirements. Support streamlining and standardization initiatives. Facilitates open communication between manufacturing sites and the Finance Center, and Business Finance.

• Support Special Projects  

  • Be the focal point in systems implementation and updating projects, be the focal support for special audits, act as backup in case of medical leaves

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; certification will be valued.

• Advanced English.

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in cost accounting.

• Skills in cost and inventory reporting, supply chain management, budgeting and planning, SAP cost accounting, and financial analysis and reporting.

• Qualities such as leadership, communication, teamwork, among others.
