Job Description:

The Capital Execution Process Owner plays a critical role in optimizing capital project execution while fostering seamless collaboration among key stakeholders—including Project Sponsors, Business Units, Operations, Procurement, Capital Planning, and Finance. By ensuring process alignment, operational efficiency, and strategic integration across functions and geographies, this role enhances Corteva's competitiveness, strengthens project delivery capabilities, and supports long-term business success.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process Ownership: Own and maintain the company's global project execution process (CorePD), ensuring it remains relevant, compliant, and fit-for-purpose across diverse functions and geographies.
  • Strategic Initiative Leadership: Lead initiatives to enhance organizational project delivery capabilities, including improvements to execution practices, organizational structures, and process alignment.
    • Project Value Improvement (PVI): Serve as the global focal point for PVI, guiding project teams in defining minimum technical solutions and optimal scopes. Deliver monthly reporting and analysis to identify trends and drive corrective actions where necessary.
  • Project Execution: Manage select capital projects, ensuring successful delivery from initiation to completion.
  • Training Development & Delivery: Design and deliver project execution training programs tailored to various audiences—from in-depth multi-day sessions to focused one-hour modules. Ensure alignment with CorePD and adaptability across functions and regions.
  • Documentation Stewardship: Maintain and continuously improve CorePD documentation in collaboration with Critical Task (CT) owners. Ensure timely updates and process reviews to uphold process integrity.
  • Project Support & Consulting: Provide hands-on support to project teams facing complex execution challenges. Act as a strategic advisor on internal governance, engineering standards, planning, estimating, safety, and capital delivery. Collaborate closely with Capital Planning, Finance, Procurement, and Permanent Investment teams to ensure integrated project solutions.
  • Problem Solving, Coaching and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key resource for resolving complex execution challenges by partnering with subject matter experts across engineering, capital planning, estimating, operations, and support functions. Provide coaching to teams and individuals on best practices, decision-making frameworks, and effective process navigation to ensure integrated and successful project execution strategies.
  • BEAM Facilitation: Facilitate Business Engineering Alignment Meetings (BEAMs) for medium and large projects to ensure scope clarity, stakeholder alignment, and a streamlined path forward.

Qualifications

  • B.S. /M.S. in Engineering, Project management, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10 years' experience in Project Management, engineering, or process improvement roles
  • Six-Sigma Green-Belt or Black-Belt certification would be advantageous.

  • Exceptional Interpersonal & Communication Skills - Ability to work collaboratively in both independent and team environments.
  • Willingness to Travel (~10%-25%) - Open to business travel as required to support project and leadership needs.
  • Remote Work & Global Collaboration - This role can be performed remotely and involves supporting global teams and projects across multiple time zones.
