The Regional Continuous Improvement Consultant will be responsible and accountable for the identification and execution of seed productivity initiatives and continuous improvement projects throughout their respective region’s Global Seed Operations end-to-end value chain. In this role, you will use your knowledge to lead, execute and implement key initiatives and projects to achieve identified metrics or goals that will support and meet the goals and objectives of Global Seed Operations. The Continuous Improvement Consultant will be responsible for providing expert coaching on Lean & Six Sigma tools and methods to complete the implementation of the productivity initiatives and projects to meet the business objectives in safety, cost, quality, reliability, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do:
Build relationships across all levels of the organization and establish a culture of continuous improvement.
Support and lead Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with the planning, coordinating, and facilitating of bottom-up planning process.
Assist the business in identifying continuous improvement opportunities and work with them to scope/quantify initiatives.
Facilitate Seed Productivity projects and collaborate with key Seed Operations stakeholders to deliver results for the respective Global Seed Operation Region.
Provide direction and support in productivity initiative management and governance meetings.
Facilitate teams through project activities by providing continuous improvement methodology expertise and training.
Perform data analytics to drive fact-based decision making.
Analyze failures and lost production, implement solutions to improve systems and processes.
Ensure alignment to the business’ strategic goals, objectives and accountability regarding continuous improvement within the business community.
Develop relationships with business partners to understand their strategic goals and become a trusted partner on continuous improvement initiatives.
Handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Education, Industrial, Technical, Finance or a related field
What Skills You Need:
Knowledge and understanding of lean and six sigma methodologies
Experience in leading and executing the implementation of projects and productivity initiatives for businesses to meet objectives in safety, cost, quality, productivity, customer service, and reliability.
Drive internal process excellence through identifying and leading targeted continuous improvement projects across business functions
Project management experience
Experience creating complex tests and analysis
Lean Six Sigma certifications (Green or Yellow belt)
Ability to travel in Europe 50% of the time
