Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Capital Procurement Manager to join our Capital Procurement team in Johnston, IA or Indianapolis, IN.

In this role, you will have responsibility and accountability for supporting the development, deployment and tactical execution of the North American Capital procurement strategy in support of approximately $115M annual spend.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the deployment and tactical execution of global procurement strategies for Capital in North America to achieve maximum value at the lowest total cost.
  • Drive cost models, RFx, supplier selection decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Engage and align with internal stakeholders to develop project procurement strategies that deliver savings and growth aligned with the business, function, and regional objectives.
  • Drive supplier management by establishing key relationships and partnerships for the long term.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to identify, assess, qualify, and develop new suppliers needed for competition and value delivery.
  • Drive rigorous category and supplier performance metrics.
  • Support and deliver process and policy simplification, governance, and compliance.
  • Be a continuous learner on the use of standard procurement processes, category management, Source-to-Pay, risk mitigation and category/supplier performance management.
  • Collaborate with other Procurement colleagues outside Capital to share best practices and procurement process improvement.
  • Manage all internal controls and contract-related aspects of Capital Procurement in North America.
  • Support other Procurement activities as directed by management.

Required Experience and Competencies:

  • BA/BS Degree with preferred focus on supply chain, operations, or engineering.
  • 3+ Years Sourcing, Procurement, or Category Management experience in global organization. Previous experience in Capital or Hard Services commodity preferred.
  • Certifications in disciplines such as Procurement (SCMP/CPSM) or Lean / Six Sigma a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP-Ariba, and Business Intelligence Systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross functional environment, resolve conflict, and deliver required results.
  • Self-starter, self-driven, highly motivated, hands-on with attention to details on both the processes and results, ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
