Description/Responsibilities
The Business Reporting Specialist empowers the commercial organization with reliable, actionable insights, connecting strategic needs to high?impact reporting products. As a technical authority, the role leads governance and the metrics playbook in partnership with process owners, ensuring consistency and accuracy of information in the consumption layer and translating data into executive narratives. The Specialist works cross?functionally with Marketing and Commercial Operations to strengthen data quality and reliability, drive solution adoption, and prioritize a reporting roadmap aligned with the organization's goals. The role influences and promotes best practices, change management, and a data?driven culture across the organization, elevating analytical maturity and decision impact.
· Modeling for consumption: design and evolve semantic/tabular models and business layers in BI (e.g., Power BI), including security rules (RLS), data lineage, and documentation.
· Executive dashboards and reports: develop, maintain, and optimize high-impact dashboards (performance, scalability, and storytelling), ensuring consistency and accuracy of information.
· Ensure quality and compliance in the consumption layer: implement quality controls (completeness, accuracy, timeliness), reconcile with official sources, and monitor SLAs agreed with the Analytics team; ensure compliance with LGPD and audit practices.
· Discovery, backlog, and roadmap: conduct discovery with stakeholders, translate needs into functional requirements, and prioritize the reporting roadmap aligned with the organization's goals.
· Cross-functional collaboration: work closely with Marketing, Commercial Operations, Analytics, and IT to co-design robust data acquisition and ingestion processes focused on data quality (data contracts, SLAs, acceptance criteria, validation and reconciliation rules); monitor and address incidents, mitigating impacts on the consumption layer.
· Lead governance and the metrics, indicators, and KPIs Playbook, ensuring standardization and documentation (hierarchies, dimensions, data sources, and calculation rules) based on the definitions provided by the process owners.
· Adoption and user experience: measure usage and satisfaction (usage metrics/internal NPS), collect feedback and drive continuous improvement; conduct training and mentor analysts to strengthen the data-driven culture.
Profile
· Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, or related fields; postgraduate degree/MBA in related fields.
· Experience: 7+ years in BI/Analytics/Reporting in a corporate environment, with a track record in metrics/KPI governance, consumption-layer modeling, and development of executive dashboards; technical influence across cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the Agriculture market is a plus.
Technical proficiency:
· Advanced SQL for querying and modeling; dimensional/tabular modeling and performance optimization in the BI consumption layer.
· Advanced Power BI (data modeling, DAX, performance tuning, RLS) or Tableau at an equivalent level; Power Query/M is desirable.
· Familiarity with cloud/data lake environments (Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and data catalogs, with a focus on consumption and requirements definition (pipeline development is out of scope).
· Governance, security, and compliance practices (LGPD), access control, and documentation.
· Nice-to-haves: Python/R for lightweight analyses and automation; version control best practices for BI assets; use of generative AI (Copilot, ChatGPT) to boost productivity and support decision-making.
· Business and behavioral skills: executive communication and storytelling; critical thinking and a data product mindset; stakeholder management and prioritization; autonomy, ownership, and a focus on continuous improvement.
· Advanced English is a plus.
