Are you ready to dive into the world of data and analytics? As an FS&D Business Intelligence Research Analyst Intern, you'll embark on an exciting journey to enable data-driven decision-making across R&D. You'll work alongside a full-time FS&D Business Intelligence Research Analyst, developing integrated reporting solutions, managing BI platforms, and supporting citizen developers.   The role will explore several areas of research in crop health and will expose the candidate to multiple scientific disciplines and the data associated with them. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with domain experts, data architects, and business owners.

What You'll Do:

Integrated Data Delivery & Reporting

  • Explore integrated data delivery, report development, and consulting services to FS&D and R&D stakeholders.
  • Manage access and administration of research reporting platforms such as Power BI, Spotfire, and Fabric.
  • Develop reusable data products with a self-service mentality to empower business users.

Platform & Technical

  • Attend office hours and training/consulting sessions for citizen developers.
  • Support certified datasets and ensure their alignment with reporting needs.
  • Learn how to anchor Power BI with Power Apps and Power Automate to create structured low/no-code solutions.

Strategic Collaboration

  • Partner with R&D business owners to build quality data products that drive data maturity.
  • Consult on application-specific reporting and collaborate with Corporate IT for enterprise-level reporting needs.

Data Governance & Architecture

  • Contribute to data curation, management, and governance efforts.
  • Support architecture and software administration for BI platforms.

What Skills You Need:

  • Strong analytical skills applied to technical data solutions.
  • Familiarity with data architecture, governance, and curation.
  • Ability to lead training and support initiatives for citizen developers.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Priority will be given to students that are at least current sophomores at an accredited university. Interns can be undergraduate or graduate students. 
  • Preference will be given to students with a minimum GPA of 3.0. 
  • Must be enrolled at an accredited university at the time of internship. 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in R&D environments.
  • Experience with Power BI, Spotfire, Fabric, and other BI tools.
  • Ability to take concepts and turn them into visualizations or reports.
