Corteva Agriscience has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Business Data Analyst in the Seeds Master Data Team within Global Seed Operations.
In this role, you will coordinate daily activities to ensure that all material Seeds Master Data is created and loaded into SAP/ECC/future S4 and Microsoft AX (enterprise resource systems)/future D365 in an accurate, timely, and efficient manner. You will work with other departments within Corteva Agriscience to develop and improve interfaces used in the creation/quality assurance of Master Data information. You ll also analyze current systems and processes for improvements and make recommendations as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
Seeds Master Data Management
- Develop and maintain Material Master and Production Process business rules for all products globally, to service the needs of Seed Production, Supply Chain, Quality Supply, Sales, and Information Technology.
- Develop new tools to aid in Master Data creation, entry, and maintenance. Develop or modify Excel or Access applications. Use VBA and JAVA language in macros or queries.
- Coordinate with business partners to identify data sources, obtain Master Data requirements (from the business units) for business events such as hybrid/variety advancement, winter production, growing plans, and export plans. Create and load Master Data into SAP/ECC and Microsoft AX.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of improvements in data flow between and across functional systems such as internal systems: SPIN, seed field management, SAP/ECC/future S4 and Microsoft AX/future D365.
- Develop new tools to aid in Master Data creation, entry, and maintenance. Develop or modify Excel or Access applications. Use VBA and JAVA language in macros or queries.
- Interface with Information Technology experts and functional analysts to keep abreast of configuration changes in SAP/ECC/future S4 and Microsoft AX/future D365, that affect Master Data. Implement changes in Seeds Master Data loads to support the configuration changes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Global Seed Operation teams, and build strong partnerships with Stewardship & Compliance, and Enterprise IT teams to support effective data integrity processes and continuous improvement.
- Provide informed input and guidance as a Seeds Master Data key stakeholder for execution of business and Enterprise IT initiatives.
Compliance & Data Integrity
- Partner with Data Integration & Systems, Stewardship & Compliance, R&D Farming & Digital Solutions, Portfolio teams, Quality & Supply Chain, and Enterprise IT to support data integrity efforts including system troubleshooting activities.
- Monitor data integrity, traceability, and audit readiness across materials in the Seeds Master Data system and SAP/future S4.
- Assist the department in developing processes, techniques, and tools to ensure data integrity. This position plays a key role in assuring data stewardship across the organization.
- Assist in the development of a comprehensive Quality Assurance program to ensure the integrity of all production Seeds Master Data in SAP/future S4 and Microsoft AX/future D365.
Qualifications
- Four-year degree or two-year degree paired with experience in agribusiness, seed production, computer science, information management, or related field.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills required (Excel and Access).
- Customer service skills and abilities.
- Ability to work both in a team and independently.
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft AX or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Experience with Microsoft Access.
The following are preferred:
- Degree in Agriculture related field of study or Management Information Systems related field of study.
- Experience developing new tools to aid in Master Data creation, entry, and maintenance.
- Experience engaging in process improvement ideation and execution.
- Familiarity with SAP/S4 or similar ERP systems.
