We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Assistant?at our Johnston, Iowa site.

What You'll Do:

  • Support business and research operations across Johnston main campus
  • Manage mail, package delivery (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, Amazon), and outbound shipments
  • Pick up and deliver time? and temperature?sensitive samples and materials
  • Receive, inspect, and distribute freight, including high?value research equipment and supplies
  • Prepare domestic and international shipments, from letters to palletized freight
  • Provide responsive, professional customer service while following safety and compliance standards

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

What You'll Bring:

  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, and perform physical work, including lifting to 50 lbs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams
  • Commitment to safety, confidentiality, and customer service
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Willingness to complete required training (PIT, safety, hazmat, PPE, import/export)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PIT (fork truck/pallet jack) experience
  • SAP knowledge
  • 2-4 years of mail, shipping, or logistics experience
